React Native Developer

Job Summary

Mobile and Banking Integration

• Develop mobile applications for banking services such as onboarding, authentication, transfers, payments, cards, transactions, beneficiaries, and notifications.
• Integrate with enterprise APIs, gateways, middleware, and backend services.
• Handle sensitive financial and customer information according to security and compliance requirements.

Security

• Apply secure mobile development practices and authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, MFA, and biometrics where applicable.
• Protect data in transit and at rest and secure credentials, tokens, and sensitive information.
• Address vulnerabilities identified through security assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews.
• Support certificate or public-key pinning and other mobile security controls when required.

API and Performance

• Consume REST APIs and JSON services and handle authentication, authorization, errors, timeouts, retries, and response validation.
• Troubleshoot integration failures across development, testing, and production environments.
• Improve responsiveness, memory usage, startup time, rendering, state management, API calls, animations, and large-data performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot crashes, ANRs, memory leaks, and other mobile performance issues.

Native Development and Testing

• Troubleshoot Android and iOS build and runtime issues using tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, Xcode, and CocoaPods.
• Develop or maintain native modules and work with native dependencies when required.
• Write unit, integration, and component tests using Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or equivalent tools.
• Participate in functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.

CI/CD and Production Support

• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated mobile builds, testing, deployment, and releases through Google Play Console and Apple App Store or TestFlight.
• Use source-control and release tools such as Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Fastlane where applicable.
• Manage environment-specific configurations, versioning, rollback, and production deployment activities.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, monitor errors, and coordinate resolution with technical teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong professional experience in React Native development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of React.js and React Native architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Redux, Redux Toolkit, or equivalent state-management solutions.
• Strong experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience developing and debugging applications on both Android and iOS.
• Strong understanding of mobile application security.
• Experience with automated testing, debugging, Git, CI/CD, and mobile release processes.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with React Navigation, Reanimated, Gesture Handler, Firebase, push notifications, analytics, or crash reporting.
• Experience with biometric authentication, secure storage, deep linking, offline synchronization, or WebSockets.
• Knowledge of native Android or iOS development and Kotlin, Java, Swift, or Objective-C.
• Experience with Fastlane, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, or API gateways is advantageous.

Experience and Education

• At least five years of professional software or mobile application development experience.
• At least five years of hands-on React Native development experience with enterprise-grade applications.
• Proven experience supporting iOS and Android applications using React Native.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux or Redux Toolkit, REST APIs, and mobile architecture.
• Experience in banking, fintech, payments, digital banking, or financial services is highly preferred.
• Enterprise or highly regulated environment experience is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related technical field.
• Relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
