Job Purpose
The RBI Engineer conducts risk-based inspection assessments and develops optimized inspection strategies for static equipment, piping, pipelines, and pressure relief devices.
The role supports asset integrity and reliability by evaluating damage mechanisms, risk, remaining life, and inspection requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform qualitative, semi-quantitative, and quantitative RBI assessments using API 580 and API 581.
- Assess pressure vessels, piping systems, pipelines, tanks, and pressure relief devices.
- Review process, equipment, materials, and inspection data and develop corrosion loops, piping circuits, inventory groups, and asset databases.
- Evaluate damage mechanisms, calculate corrosion rates and remaining life, and manage TML/CML evaluations.
- Develop risk rankings, inspection intervals, RBI plans, inspection schedules, drawings, reports, and recommendations.
- Support corrosion risk studies, corrosion control documents, integrity operating windows, and corrosion management strategies.
- Configure RBI software models and integrate RBI data with asset management systems.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, workshops, and project reviews.
