Job Purpose

The Raw Material Planner ensures consistent raw material supply into Valvoline Australia's manufacturing plant.

The role manages raw material stock levels, provides forecasts and maintains relationships with key suppliers.

The position works closely with manufacturing, planning and logistics functions.

Job Accountabilities

  • Manage end-to-end raw material planning across assigned suppliers and material categories.
  • Coordinate with Production Scheduling to address changes and delays while maintaining material availability and inventory levels.
  • Partner with Procurement on supply plans, supplier performance, corrective actions and supply risk mitigation.
  • Monitor inventory and material risks to prevent shortages and excess stock.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Logistics and Planning teams.
  • Analyse reports, forecast requirements and material trends for supplier and supply review activities.
  • Support best-practice material planning processes, routines and governance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant university or TAFE education is preferred, particularly in Supply Chain Management or Business Management.
  • APICS CSCP or CPIM certification is preferred.
  • Three to five years of supply and demand planning experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, lookups and planning models.
  • Experience with forecasting and replenishment processes and systems such as SAP, APO or Visual Reports.
  • Prior experience in demand, supply, purchasing or supply chain analysis.

  • The role is onsite in Wetherill Park.
