Role Description
The Ramp Operations Controller / Ground Handling Agent coordinates and supports safe, efficient, and timely aircraft ground operations at airports.
The role covers aircraft turnarounds, baggage and cargo handling, passenger services, ramp movements, equipment, and operational communications.
Ramp Operations
- Coordinate aircraft ramp and turnaround activities according to approved procedures.
- Monitor aircraft arrivals, departures, parking positions, and turnaround schedules.
- Coordinate airline, flight crew, ramp, baggage, cargo, and airport operations communications.
- Monitor loading, unloading, servicing, cleaning, catering, fueling, and turnaround milestones.
- Identify delays or operational issues and escalate safety, security, staffing, and equipment concerns.
- Maintain records of aircraft movements, delays, incidents, and service completion.
Ground Handling and Passenger Services
- Coordinate baggage, cargo, mail, special baggage, oversized items, and priority shipments where applicable.
- Coordinate aircraft cleaning, cabin servicing, catering, water, lavatory servicing, and other ground services.
- Coordinate boarding stairs, passenger buses, baggage equipment, belt loaders, tractors, and other approved equipment.
