Responsibilities
- Assess patients and interpret clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques
- Perform a range of radiographic examinations and assist in more complex radiological examinations under supervision
- Observe and maintain contact with patients during waiting, examination, and post examination stay
- Work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Prioritize, deliver, and time manage workload effectively
- Communicate with patients and others in a clear, respectful manner
- Position patients safely for examinations and adapt techniques as necessary
- Record imaging identification and patient documentation accurately
- Learn new techniques and technologies as required
- Supervise assistant practitioners and deliver appropriate training
- Understand and observe health and safety at work, including ionizing radiation regulations
- Undertake quality control checks on X rays and associated equipment

- Experience in performing radiographic examinations
- Knowledge of ionizing radiation regulations and safety
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Responsibilities
- To assess patients and interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
- To perform a range of radiographic examinations and also assist in more complex radiological examinations under the supervision of a radiologist and senior staff.
- To observe and maintain contact with patients during their waiting, examination and post examination stay in the department.
- To work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that an efficient service is provided to patients.
- Use initiative to prioritize, deliver and time manage workload effectively.
- To communicate with patients and others in a clear, respectful and appropriate way.
- To position patients safely for examinations and, if necessary, adapt standard techniques.
- To record imaging identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately.
- To learn new techniques and technologies as required by professional bodies.
- To supervise assistant practitioners, and other staff, and delivering appropriate training.
- To understand and observe health and safety at work and welfare issues, including ionizing radiation regulations.
- Undertaking quality control checks on X rays and associated equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience in radiographic techniques and patient care.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
