About the Role
Vertiv is seeking an R&D Testing Engineer to ensure samples, set up tests, conduct tests, and prepare reports. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering and 3-4 years of experience in power electronics product/module testing, with knowledge of IEC and UL standards.

Responsibilities
- Ensure OHSMS requirements as per ISO 45001, EMS requirements as per ISO 14001, and QMS requirements as per ISO 9001 in lab
- Ensure machines calibration and safety checks in Lab
- Manage machine and tools inventory in Lab
- Ensure 5S in the Test Lab at all times
- Create test plans and update daily
- Adhere strictly to test scheduling
- Follow up on test samples
- Conduct various testing systematically with strict compliance to SOP
- Prepare various test reports with utmost care and accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Power Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3 to 4 years of experience in power electronics products/module testing
- Knowledge in IEC 61439 1&6, UL 857, 60529 standards
- Familiarity with IEC and UL Standards is an advantage
- Ability to coordinate with production and product testing of new and existing product line

Brief Job Description
- This position will be responsible for ensuring samples, setting up test and conducting the tests and preparing the reports.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria
- General: Ensuring OHSMS requirements as per ISO 45001, EMS requirements as per ISO 14001, QMS requirements as per ISO 9001 in lab.
- Ensuring machines calibration, safety checks in Lab.
- Machine & Tools inventory management in Lab.
- Ensuring 5S in the Test Lab at all times.
- Prompt feedback and corrections of any deviations.
- Manpower management.
- Document management Proper storage of Soft and Hard copy documents.
- Strict adherence to Vertiv Gulf’s Equal opportunity, cultural diversity, fair treatment and prevention of harassment & discrimination policies.
- Testing: Knowledge in IEC 61439 1&6, UL 857, 60529 standards.
- Test plan creation and update daily.
- Strict adherence to test Scheduling.
- Test Sample follow up.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or above in power Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in power electronics products/ module testing is required.
- Preferred: Coordinate with production and product testing of new and existing product line.
- Familiarity to IEC and UL Standards is an advantage.
- Physical & Environmental Requirements: To be working hot and humid situation.
- Time Travel Needed: 10%.
