Responsibilities
- Perform routine checks, repairs, and preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery and tools; arrange for external repairs when needed
- Assist and advise users on equipment use, design principles, material selection, and safe practices
- Prepare and set up equipment for tests, manage tool maintenance systems, maintain cleanliness, and ensure high standards of workshop practice
- Enforce safety rules, report hazards, maintain risk assessments, and ensure compliance
- Monitor and maintain levels of consumables, materials, and components, liaising with management for purchasing
- Manufacture components, pipe assemblies and test pieces as required for projects or research using workshop tools such as Tig welder, band saw, pneumatic pressure testers and other hand tools
Requirements
- Hands on experience with mechanical processes, workshop tools, and machinery
- Proficiency with hand and machine tools; ability to read instructions/diagrams
- Strong understanding and adherence to Health & Safety regulations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage stock, logs, and prioritize tasks
- Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., in engineering) and GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English

Job Description
- Workshop Technician based in Edenbridge/Redhill, UK.
- Provide essential technical support, maintenance, and operational readiness for workshop facilities, equipment, and tools, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks, repairs, and preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery and tools; arrange for external repairs when needed.
