About the Role
Reports directly to the Food Safety and Quality Manager.
Responsible for product quality and food safety during manufacturing.
Follows established processes and supports GMP, food safety, SQF, and product quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor critical control points and product food safety and quality throughout manufacturing.
- Verify sanitation activities for daily, weekly, and other SSOPs.
- Record and file relevant logs and documentation.
- Ensure employees follow food safety and worker safety practices.
- Educate employees on GMP, food safety, and SQF standards.
- Issue disciplinary action when directed.
- Collect product samples for USDA requests and laboratory testing.
- Inspect products, equipment, high-risk rooms, and tankers.
- Perform equipment calibrations.
- Collect environmental samples for laboratory testing.
- Set up and perform designated laboratory tests.
Qualifications
- Experience in a food environment is required.
- GFSI experience is a plus.
- Ability to learn laboratory practices with attention to detail.
