- Ensure zero critical/high bugs reach production
- Design comprehensive test plans covering happy paths, edge cases, integration scenarios, performance, and security
- Build automated test suites (unit, integration, E2E) that run in CI/CD
- Conduct manual testing, exploratory testing, and usability testing
- Perform load testing and security testing
- Log defects systematically and drive root cause analysis
- Validate AI products before release using curated datasets and evaluation thresholds
- Run adversarial tests for prompt injection, jailbreaks, and harmful content
Requirements
- Experience in quality assurance and testing
- Expertise in test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, etc.)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with performance and security testing tools
- Familiarity with AI product testing, including LLM evaluation and RAG testing

Quality Guardian Overview
- Quality assurance: Zero critical/high bugs reach production.
- Testing strategy: Design comprehensive test plans covering happy paths, edge cases, integration scenarios, performance, security.
- Automation & efficiency: Build automated test suites (unit, integration, E2E) that run in CI/CD.
- Compliance & audit: Ensure testing evidence for regulatory requirements.
- Continuous improvement: Root cause analysis on escaped defects.
Test Planning & Strategy
- Conduct requirement review: Understand acceptance criteria, identify ambiguities.
- Create test plans: Test scope, test types, timeline, resource allocation.
- Design test cases: Step by step instructions, expected results; link to requirements.
- Prioritize testing: Focus on high risk areas.
- Document testing assumptions.
Manual Testing
- Execute test cases precisely; log actual results.
- Exploratory testing beyond test cases.
- Usability testing on different devices/browsers.
- Integration testing between frontend and API.
- Regression testing on critical paths.
Test Automation
- Build automated test suites: unit, integration, E2E.
- Choose tools: Playwright or Cypress for web UI, Postman/Rest Assured for APIs, Jest/Pytest for units.
- Implement CI/CD testing: tests run automatically on pull requests.
- Maintain test data: create databases/APIs in test environment.
- Monitor test health: number of tests, duration, flakiness.
Performance & Security Testing
- Load testing: simulate concurrent users using k6, JMeter, or Locust.
- Identify bottlenecks: database, API, frontend rendering.
- Security testing: injection attacks, authentication bypasses, PII exposure.
- Use security tools: Burp Suite, npm audit, SonarQube.
- Test compliance: data residency, encryption, audit logging.
Defect Management
- Log defects systematically with repro steps, environment, attachments.
- Triage severity: Critical, High, Medium, Low.
- Assign to engineers and track resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis.
- Drive improvements: update test plans, automate checks.
AI Product Release Testing
- Pre release AI validation using curated golden datasets and acceptance thresholds.
- LLM and agent evaluation using semantic evaluation, LLM as judge, human review.
- RAG testing: retrieval quality, source relevance, answer faithfulness.
- Safety and red teaming: prompt injection, jailbreaks, harmful content.
- Client release gates: block release if critical risks remain.
- Production monitoring readiness: observability for prompts, responses, traces.
Quality Metrics & Reporting
- Track metrics: test coverage, defect density, etc.
