Responsibilities
- Conduct pre operational inspections of production lines, equipment, and processing areas
- Verify ingredient weighing and batching activities as per approved recipes and formulations
- Inspect raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products against approved specifications
- Monitor mixing, processing, filling, and packing operations to ensure product quality and safety
- Perform in process and finished product quality checks as per sampling plans
- Monitor and verify CCPs, OPRPs, PRPs, GMP, and food safety requirements
- Ensure compliance with allergen control procedures and food safety standards
- Conduct sensory evaluation of production batches and maintain accurate records
- Monitor employee hygiene practices and sanitation standards within production areas
- Verify cleaning and CIP activities and ensure proper implementation
- Monitor temperature, humidity, and other critical process parameters
- Raise non conformance reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions with production teams
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Quality Control within a food manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP & GHP, Food Safety Management Systems
- Knowledge of ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 / BRCGS (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and rotating shifts if required

Overview
- Quality Controllers aim to ensure that an organisation's product or service is fit for purpose, consistent, and meets both external and internal requirements.
- This includes legal compliance and customer expectations.
- As a quality controller, you'll coordinate the activities required to meet these quality standards.
- Your role is concerned with monitoring and advising on the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reporting on performance, measuring against set standards.

Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct line clearance checks before production start up and product changeovers.
- Verify product coding, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, and batch traceability records.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and food safety inspections.
- Ensure all quality records and documentation are maintained accurately and timely.
- Assist in product trials, process validations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Report quality concerns immediately and support root cause investigations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Quality Control within a food manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP & GHP, Food Safety Management Systems, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 / BRCGS (preferred).
