Lead quality control, food safety, and QHSE activities across a production facility.
Serve as the independent quality and food-safety voice in operational and expansion-related decisions.
Work with operations and kitchen leadership to embed food safety and quality into daily production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with applicable standards.
- Own CCP monitoring, including support during facility commissioning.
- Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and supplier and contractor reviews.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions and investigate quality and food-safety incidents.
- Hold or release production when food-safety standards require intervention.
- Maintain the HACCP plan and audit and certification calendar.
- Deliver training and report QHSE performance, risks, and findings to management.
Requirements
- 5-6 years of experience in QHSE, food safety, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- HACCP certification is required.
- Experience independently managing CCP monitoring and food-safety controls.
- Strong understanding of food-safety standards, QHSE systems, audits, risk assessments, and local regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, training, organization, and documentation skills.
- Experience in a new or commissioning facility and in bakery or food production is preferred.
Work environment
- The role operates in a fast-paced production facility and works closely with kitchen and operations teams.
