Quality Control Manager

Overview

Your role

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System in accordance with project requirements and international standards.
• Lead QA/QC activities and ensure construction complies with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, codes, and standards.
• Review and approve contractor Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, Method Statements, and quality procedures.
• Supervise quality engineers, inspectors, laboratory personnel, and specialist consultants.
• Conduct audits, site inspections, surveillance, and reviews of material submittals, mock-ups, samples, and factory inspections.
• Manage inspection and testing for civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and specialist systems.
• Issue, track, investigate, and close NCRs, SORs, CARs, quality observations, defects, and corrective actions.
• Monitor quality KPIs, prepare reports, and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, laboratories, and project stakeholders.
• Support payment application reviews related to quality compliance and participate in progress meetings and technical workshops.
• Manage snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning, handover, quality records, documentation, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15+ years of overall construction-industry quality management experience.
• Minimum 8 years in a Quality Control Manager or Quality Manager role on major building projects.
• Experience with large-scale buildings, convention centers, hotels, resorts, mixed-use developments, and hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, QA/QC procedures, construction standards, international codes, and ISO 9001.
• Experience with site supervision consultancy projects is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is highly preferred.

Technical and professional competencies

• Strong understanding of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP construction processes.
• Experience managing testing and commissioning quality requirements for complex developments.
• Ability to evaluate technical documents, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent report writing, communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• A master's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
