About the Role
SGS is looking for a Quality Control Inspector for onshore projects in Abu Dhabi. You will perform inspections on materials, equipment, and construction activities, ensuring compliance with quality plans and standards.

Responsibilities
- Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism
- Execute specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site
- Issue relevant Quality Records and write non conformances reports to QC Supervisor
- Check conformity with Quality Control Plan, obtain documentation, check procedures and equipment
- Ensure correct implementation of approved Inspection Test Plan
- Verify special processes and workers' qualifications
- Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests, check rating and material for connection
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas construction sector
- Must have CSWIP / AWS & BGAS / NACE certifications
- Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes for onshore projects
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC projects
- Knowledge of ASME Section IX, ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8, AWS D1.1, ISO 8501, NACE/AMPP Standards

Job Description
- Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
- Execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
- Issue the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to QC Supervisor non conformances reports.
- Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
- Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
- Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
- Perform visual inspections, dimensional test, check rating and material for connection.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- 8 + years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas construction sector.
- Must Have CSWIP / AWS & BGAS / NACE
- Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes that will be used during QC surveillance activities offshore / Onshore projects
- Should have experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC projects.
- Technical Knowledge: ASME Section IX, ASME B31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8, AWS D1.1, ISO 8501, NACE / AMPP Standards, Project specific client specifications
