Quality Control Inspector – Knitwear & Woven Garments

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect fabric, cutting, sewing, finishing, and final garment quality.
• Identify defects involving fabric, stitching, workmanship, measurements, construction, finishing, color, shade, and appearance.
• Conduct inline, pre-final, final, and AQL-based random inspections.
• Check measurements and tolerances using suitable measuring tools and inspection methods.
• Inspect fabric for holes, stains, slubs, yarn defects, weaving or knitting defects, color variation, and shade discrepancies.
• Check seams, stitches, SPI, hems, collars, cuffs, buttons, zippers, labels, and other garment components.
• Verify fit, workmanship, construction, finishing, packing, labeling, assortment, carton markings, and presentation.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain records of findings and rejection rates.
• Coordinate with production, merchandising, technical, and factory teams to resolve quality issues.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions and verify defect rectification.
• Monitor recurring quality issues and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Support supplier and factory evaluations and communicate quality concerns to management.

Qualifications and Capabilities

• Ability to inspect knitwear and woven garments against approved quality documentation and standards.
• Ability to perform garment measurement, tolerance, workmanship, and AQL inspection activities.
