The role
The Quality Control Inspector will perform inspections, verify product and process compliance, identify quality issues, and support continuous improvement.
The position is described as mid-level, full-time, and fully remote.
The role works with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Procurement, Project Management, and Supply Chain teams.
Inspection and compliance
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, products, and completed work.
- Verify products and processes against approved specifications and quality requirements.
- Review drawings, specifications, inspection procedures, technical documentation, material certificates, and test reports.
- Use measuring and inspection equipment and ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.
- Support Inspection and Test Plans and maintain traceability of inspected materials, components, and products.
Quality records and improvement
- Identify defects, deviations, non-conformities, and workmanship issues and raise non-conformance reports.
- Record inspection results and prepare reports, checklists, quality records, and databases.
- Investigate quality issues with production and engineering teams and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Verify corrective-action implementation and identify recurring defects and process improvement opportunities.
- Participate in internal audits and monitor supplier and subcontractor quality performance where required.
- Escalate critical quality issues and comply with applicable safety requirements.
Required qualifications and experience
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector, QC Technician, Quality Inspector, or similar professional.
- Strong knowledge of quality control and inspection principles.
- Experience with incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
- Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans and quality checklists.
- Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of non-conformance management, corrective actions, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management principles.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, documentation skills, organization, and communication.
- Good written and spoken English.
Preferred qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Relevant quality certifications such as ASQ, CQI, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering, oil and gas, industrial production, or related sectors is highly desirable.
