Quality Assurance & IMS Engineer

Role overview

QHSSE management

• Lead implementation, maintenance, and improvement of IMS aligned to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, client standards, and company procedures.
• Act as focal point for external audits, certification audits, and client inspections.
• Manage nonconformities, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.

Quality assurance

• Drive quality assurance and compliance across all project phases.
• Review and approve ITPs, method statements, procedures, and other quality documentation.
• Monitor quality KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Health, safety, and environment

• Lead HSE implementation across project sites in line with local regulations and company standards.
• Conduct or oversee risk assessments, site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Ensure environmental compliance and support waste reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.

Audit and compliance

• Plan, conduct, and lead internal audits and inspections.
• Maintain the audit findings register and ensure timely closure of actions.
• Support ISO certification and surveillance audits and provide assurance on IMS effectiveness.

Training and reporting

• Identify training needs, coordinate QHSE training programs, and deliver awareness sessions and toolbox talks.
• Maintain effective document control and prepare monthly QHSE reports, KPI dashboards, and management review inputs.
• Analyse trends, recommend improvements, and support audit readiness initiatives.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of QHSE experience in construction, infrastructure, or energy.
• Experience in IMS implementation, audit management, and risk-based assurance systems.
• Middle East or KSA project experience is preferred.

Certifications and communication

• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is required.
• NEBOSH IGC or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• IOSH, IRCA, environmental, or sustainability certifications are preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
