About the Role
TÜV SÜD is hiring a QC Inspector - Mechanical for a 24-month contract in Abu Dhabi. The role involves conducting quality inspections, surveillance, and witnessing testing at construction sites and fabrication facilities.

Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and witness testing for activities performed by EPC Contractors and Manufacturers in accordance with approved ITPs and project requirements
- Review, verify, and endorse inspection and testing records for compliance with applicable standards and specifications
- Monitor the performance of Contractor and Manufacturer QC personnel and report any quality concerns
- Attend and represent the client in QA/QC meetings with contractor(s) at site and yard
- Perform material receiving inspections and verify compliance with project specifications and approved documentation
- Witness and inspect fabrication, manufacturing, testing and material verification activities
- Conduct inspections of welding activities including review of weld procedures, qualification tests, fit up, and welding consumables
- Conduct inspections of painting/coating activities including material verification, surface preparation, and application processes
- Witness NDT activities and review/endorse NDT results including RT films interpretation
- Participate in site completion walkdowns and Punch list clearance
- Identify, report, and follow up on Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions
- Review and verify quality records including MTCs, inspection reports, NDT reports, test records, and inspection release notes
Requirements
- Minimum two or three years Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Welding or related discipline
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant QA/QC inspection experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Relevant discipline specific certification such as CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector, BGAS Grade III Coating Inspector, NACE Coating Inspector Level I (or higher), ASNT Level II NDT Certification or ISO 9712, or other relevant Mechanical certifications
- Experience in construction sites, fabrication yards, manufacturing facilities, and vendor source inspections
- Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, inspection procedures and QA/QC documentation requirements
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and quality records
- Valid UAE Driving License is preferred
- Previous ADNOC project experience will be an added advantage

Job Overview
- The QC Inspector is responsible for conducting quality inspections, surveillance activities, and witnessing inspection, testing, erection, and installation processes at construction sites, fabrication facilities and vendor locations.
- Ensure compliance with quality requirements for Mechanical, Welding, Painting, Coating, and NDT disciplines.
Your Tasks
