About the Role
TÜV SÜD is hiring a QC Inspector - Electrical for oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves conducting quality inspections, surveillance, and witnessing testing at construction sites and vendor locations.

Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and witness testing for activities performed by EPC Contractors and Manufacturers in accordance with approved ITPs and project requirements
- Review, verify, and endorse inspection and testing records for compliance with applicable standards and specifications
- Monitor the performance of Contractor and Manufacturer QC personnel and report any quality concerns
- Attend and represent the client in QA/QC meetings with contractor(s) at site and yard
- Perform material receiving inspections and verify compliance with project specifications and approved documentation
- Witness and inspect fabrication, manufacturing, testing and material verification activities based on equipment criticality and approved inspection requirements
- Perform site inspections for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom installations including cable laying, glanding, termination, routing, panels, switchgear, transformers, MCC, instruments, control valves, junction boxes, CCTV, PA/GA, data networks, fiber optic systems, and hazardous areas
- Participate in site completion walkdowns and Punch list clearance
- Witness and verify electrical and instrumentation testing such as continuity and insulation resistance tests, loop checking and calibration, functional testing, fiber optic and telecom testing
- Report discrepancies, deviations and quality concerns to the Quality Team in a timely manner
- Identify, report, and follow up on Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions until satisfactory closure
- Ensure all inspections and tests and all related project quality records are completed and properly documented
Requirements
- Minimum two or three years Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree in Electrical discipline
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant QA/QC inspection experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Relevant E&I discipline specific certifications preferred such as CompEx, IECEx, ATEX
- Experience in construction sites, fabrication yards, manufacturing facilities, and vendor source inspections
- Previous ADNOC project experience will be an added advantage
- Valid UAE Driving License is preferred
- Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, inspection procedures and QA/QC documentation requirements
- Good communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and quality records

Job Description
- The QC Inspector is responsible for conducting quality inspections, surveillance activities, and witnessing inspection, testing, erection, and installation processes at construction sites, fabrication facilities and vendor locations.
- The incumbent shall ensure compliance with quality requirements for (E&I) Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom disciplines, identify non conformities, review quality documentation, and support the successful execution of project quality objectives.
Your Tasks
- Conduct inspections and witness testing for activities performed by EPC Contractors and Manufacturers in accordance with approved ITPs and project requirements.
