Job Title: QC Image Team Leader Salary: Up to £37k per annum Location: BCA Thurleigh Working Hours: Any 5 in 7 days, Monday to Friday 09:30am to 6pm, but Weekend work on occasion may be needed at either overtime or a day off in the week Type of Employment: Permanent Main Purpose of the Role: The QC & Image Team Leader is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are QC’d to the correct customer‑documented standards and imaged to a consistently high quality for the company’s online platform. You will oversee two teams working side‑by‑side — QC and Imaging — collectively processing up to 600 vehicles per week. A key part of the role is maintaining day‑to‑day efficiency, hitting weekly targets, and ensuring all vehicles are presented professionally. You will also manage the daily flow and quality of valeting from our third‑party provider, ensuring vehicles are ready for imaging and online publication. Role Duties: Lead QC & Imaging teams — oversee QC’ers, photographers and snaggers, supporting decisions on repair quality and imaging standards. Manage daily workflow — coordinate QC, imaging and valet readiness to maintain throughput and meet SLAs/KPIs. Maintain quality standards — ensure all vehicles are QC’d correctly and imaged to consistent company standards before publication. Support operational cover — create daily worklists, provide reporting and cover QC/Imaging tasks during absence. Develop and mentor teams — coach team members, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. Handle people matters — manage return‑to‑work discussions, investigate concerns and maintain fair, consistent processes. Ensure H&S compliance — maintain safe working practices across QC, Imaging and surrounding areas. Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience: Leadership & team motivation — ability to lead two fast‑paced teams, delegate effectively and drive performance. Automotive QC or imaging experience — background in automotive retail, vehicle merchandising or QC advantageous. Attention to detail — strong accuracy in QC checks, imaging standards and documentation. Cross‑functional communication — confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Operational organisation — able to manage throughput, prioritise tasks and maintain consistency. Continuous improvement mindset — ability to review SOPs, implement improvements and maintain high standards. IT capability — confident using Microsoft Office and bespoke company systems.
