Position Overview
The QA Specialist supports corporate engineering and quality mandates and works closely with Engineering and the Quality Assurance Test team.
The role supports product testing, quality documentation, defect management, test tooling, quality goals, and process improvement.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and maintain test procedures for new and existing product functionality.
- Conduct integration, validation, system, and regression testing and log defects.
- Analyze test results and defect data to identify problematic products.
- Maintain test procedures and test records for project release testing.
- Create and maintain testing tools and equipment.
- Report task completion-date variances or risks in a timely manner.
- Recommend improvements to team and quality processes.
- Collaborate with staff across the organization.
- Provide training and support on quality manuals and procedures as required.
- Produce quality reports and perform other management-directed duties.
Knowledge and Experience
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline is desirable.
- One to two years of experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards is desirable.
