Role Summary
We’re looking for a QA Specialist to join our growing team at Naphora Games Group and help us deliver high-quality mobile games.
You’ll work hands-on with game builds, features, prototypes, and releases, helping ensure our games are stable, polished, and ready for players by identifying and documenting issues, validating fixes, and testing the overall player experience.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Game Design, Art, Product, and Production in a fast-paced development environment where experimentation, rapid iteration, and learning are a big part of how we build games.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Test mobile game builds, features, prototypes, and releases
Perform functional, regression, exploratory, compatibility, usability, and performance testing
Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and regression coverage
Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs with clear steps and supporting evidence
Verify bug fixes and support release and post-release testing
Test across different mobile devices and operating systems
Gameplay & Player Experience
Test key player flows including gameplay, progression, economy, ads, IAP, onboarding, and live features
Identify gameplay, usability, visual, and performance issues that may impact the player experience
Explore edge cases and unexpected player behaviors
Provide clear feedback on quality issues and areas that could affect the overall game experience
Collaboration & QA Processes
Work closely with Programmers, Designers, Artists, Product, and Production throughout development
Communicate quality risks, blockers, bugs, and testing progress clearly
Collaborate with the team to reproduce, investigate, and validate issues
Help improve QA processes, tools, test coverage, and overall testing practices
Success Looks Like
Identifying and clearly documenting bugs and quality issues before they reach players
Maintaining reliable test cases, checklists, and regression coverage
Testing builds thoroughly across different devices, operating systems, and player scenarios
Spotting edge cases and issues that others may miss
Communicating bugs, blockers, and quality risks clearly with the wider team
Supporting smooth releases through effective testing and validation
Developing a strong understanding of our games, systems, and player experience
Contributing to continuous improvements in QA processes and test coverage
Demonstrating strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to dig into problems
Qualifications
- 2+ years of QA/testing experience, ideally within mobile games
- Experience with manual testing, regression testing, bug reporting, and test cases
- Good understanding of mobile games and the player experience
- Experience testing across iOS and Android
- Knowledge of or prior experience with tools such as Jira, Miro, and Unity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues and edge cases others may miss
- Curious, methodical, and comfortable digging into problems to understand their root cause
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Able to take ownership of assigned testing areas and work independently
- Experience with Hybrid Casual, Casual, or Free-to-Play mobile games is a plus
- Exposure to test automation or scripting is a plus
- Experience testing analytics/events, ads, IAP, or live game features is a plus
- Familiarity with App Store and Google Play release processes is a plus
- Fluent in English
