Job Description

The QA/QC Lead/Specialist performs quality assurance work for engineering projects and technical deliverables.

The role requires independent execution with minimal supervision and responsibility for agreed budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive quality assurance and quality control procedures using established testing methodologies and industry standards.
  • Conduct validation and verification activities, including test planning, test case development, and defect identification through manual and automated testing.
  • Analyze quality engineering data and test results using defined procedures and technical documentation.
  • Document discrepancies, defects, and non-conformances and recommend resolutions.
  • Adapt testing procedures and industry best practices to address quality challenges.
  • Mentor entry-level QA engineers and quality assurance team members.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of professional QA/QC, quality engineering, or related quality assurance experience is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in manual and automated testing, including test planning, test case development, and defect identification, is required.
  • Experience with technical validation and verification and strong analytical capabilities is required.
  • Knowledge of quality engineering data analysis, technical documentation, and defect tracking systems is required.
  • The role requires independent work with minimal supervision and effective budget and schedule management.
  • Experience mentoring junior QA engineers and understanding regulatory and quality compliance requirements are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • ASQ, ISTQB, or equivalent quality assurance or quality management certification is preferred.
  • Experience with industry-specific quality standards, test automation tools, quality management software, project management, or regulated industries is preferred.

Onboarding

  • New hires are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
