About the Role

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks from scratch
- Perform comprehensive API Testing to ensure seamless data flow and security of our Risk API
- Lead Test Planning and execution, translating complex product requirements into clear test cases
- Work closely with the development and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
- Manage defect tracking and resolution life cycles using Jira
- Continuously monitor and improve overall Quality Assurance metrics across the product
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience as a QA Automation Engineer, specifically with backend services and APIs
- Strong proficiency in modern automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
- Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript for writing test scripts
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, web protocols, and cloud infrastructure
- Hands on experience with Jira for agile test management and bug tracking
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and take ownership of the QA process
- Upper Intermediate or higher English proficiency

About Us
- Ghostly Solutions is a fast growing, Dubai based deep tech cybersecurity startup.
- We are building a sovereign Zero Trust browser gateway (GhostGuard) and a Threat Intelligence Risk API tailored for enterprise and financial infrastructure.
- We are SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified and are currently scaling our engineering team to support Tier 1 B2B client deployments.
The Role
- We are looking for an experienced Automated QA Engineer to take ownership of our automated testing processes.
- You will be responsible for ensuring the absolute reliability, performance, and security of our core API and backend infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks from scratch.
