Purchasing Officer role supporting product availability and supply chain operations in the beauty and cosmetics sector.
The role ensures products arrive at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right cost.
What You'll Be Doing
- Create accurate purchase orders with quantities, specifications, and timelines.
- Track shipments and order status from suppliers to the warehouse.
- Resolve delivery delays, quality concerns, damaged goods, and shipment discrepancies.
- Coordinate between suppliers, purchasing teams, warehouse teams, and other internal stakeholders.
- Maintain optimal stock levels and conduct inventory audits for stock accuracy.
- Forecast demand using historical data, promotions, and market trends.
- Collaborate with Marketing on accurate product listings, including descriptions, pricing, images, and availability.
- Support category assortment decisions aligned with consumer demand and brand positioning.
- Monitor delivery timelines, customs clearance, supplier lead times, and quality standards.
- Generate purchasing, stock, and product performance reports.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for operational improvements.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
- Beauty and cosmetics industry experience is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system proficiency.
- Fluent English.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Customer-oriented and proactive mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to forecast demand and manage inventory effectively.
- Vendor communication and logistics coordination skills.
- Reporting expertise with actionable insights.
