Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing food, beverages, kitchen equipment, packaging, and restaurant supplies
- Prepare, process, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules
- Compare supplier prices and negotiate competitive rates when appropriate
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with kitchen, operations, and warehouse teams to prevent stock shortages or overstocking
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or quality issues
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, and inventory documentation
- Assist in conducting regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation
- Ensure all purchased items meet company quality standards and food safety requirements
- Coordinate with the finance department by submitting invoices and supporting documents for payment processing
- Monitor market trends and recommend cost saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or food and beverage environment
- Strong knowledge of restaurant inventory, food products, and procurement processes
- Experience working with multiple suppliers and managing purchase orders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with ERP, inventory management, or POS systems is an advantage
- Good analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Position Summary

- The ideal candidate will support the purchasing team by sourcing quality products, processing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of food, beverages, and operational supplies while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
