Purchase Engineer

Role Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and price comparisons to identify reliable suppliers and cost-effective purchasing options.
• Evaluate quotations based on quality, pricing, delivery, and project requirements.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders with management and project teams.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Record goods and services received.
• Coordinate with accounts and store departments on received materials and documentation.
• Verify supplier invoices and process payments according to company procedures.
• Prepare debit notes for defective, damaged, or incorrect materials.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Coordinate with site and project teams on material requirements and urgency.
• Ensure purchases comply with company policies and project budgets.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Engineering degree is mandatory.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Purchase Engineer.
• Construction or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures and vendor management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi before joining.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the organization is highly preferred.
