Job Purpose
Responsible for managing and maintaining relations with media representatives to ensure optimal exposure of Hamad Bin Khalifa University across the local and international media outlets.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field & 2-5 years of relevant full-time work experience
- Good understanding of cultural, local, and international best practice for developing strong Public Relations
- Good understanding of HBKU’s short and long-term plan and vision and the ability to identify opportunities and actions that will help better achieve HBKU’s vision
- Good understanding of various public relations activities, methods and tools used in educational institutions and how they are best deployed in a multi-cultural and international environment
- Commitment and enthusiasm for HBKU’s organizational vision and objectives
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
