Organization Context

Policy and Regulatory Work

• Develop public-policy strategies and organizational positions aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze legislation, regulations, consultations, government initiatives, standards, and policy frameworks.
• Assess commercial, operational, legal, reputational, and strategic impacts and provide recommendations.
• Conduct horizon scanning, scenario planning, policy-risk assessments, and cross-functional issue responses.

Stakeholder and Government Engagement

• Build relationships with government entities, regulators, industry bodies, public institutions, think tanks, and other stakeholders.
• Support government-relations activities and represent the organization in authorized external forums.
• Coordinate consultation responses, regulatory requests, policy questionnaires, industry submissions, and stakeholder-engagement plans.
• Maintain stakeholder maps, issue trackers, regulatory registers, engagement logs, and policy calendars.

Briefings and Reporting

• Prepare policy briefs, position papers, regulatory analyses, executive briefings, presentations, talking points, and management reports.
• Monitor policy sources and develop internal awareness materials about significant policy and regulatory changes.
• Provide regular updates, risk assessments, strategic recommendations, and executive briefings to senior leadership.
• Establish and monitor KPIs covering policy monitoring, regulatory response, engagement, risk identification, and issue resolution.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in public policy, government affairs, regulatory affairs, public affairs, political economy, regulatory analysis, corporate affairs, or policy consulting.
• Strong understanding of policy, legislative, regulatory, government, compliance, and regulatory-risk processes.
• Strong research, analysis, information synthesis, strategic thinking, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with policy briefs, stakeholder mapping, consultation processes, government engagement, and executive briefings.
• Familiarity with policy databases, regulatory-monitoring tools, research platforms, business-intelligence resources, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic is highly advantageous for UAE and GCC-related policy engagement.
• Ability to work independently with remote international teams, with integrity, discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
