About the Role
Averda seeks an experienced Public Education & Awareness Supervisor to lead community engagement and environmental awareness campaigns in Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives that educate communities, customers, schools, and stakeholders on responsible waste management, recycling, and environmental best practices
- Plan and implement public education and awareness campaigns to promote waste reduction, recycling, and environmental sustainability
- Organize community outreach programs, school visits, exhibitions, roadshows, and awareness events
- Develop educational materials, presentations, social media content, and promotional campaigns
- Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, government entities, schools, customers, and community organizations
- Conduct awareness sessions for residential, commercial, and industrial customers on proper waste segregation and recycling practices
- Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and HSE teams to support awareness initiatives
- Monitor campaign effectiveness and prepare reports on participation, engagement, and outcomes
- Supervise awareness officers or field teams and ensure activities are delivered professionally
- Stay informed about UAE environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives
- Support CSR and environmental engagement programs aligned with the company's objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, communications, marketing, public relations, education, or related field
- 3 5 years of experience in public awareness, community engagement, environmental education, CSR, or communications
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong project planning and event coordination abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage
- UAE driving licence is preferred

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in public awareness, community engagement, environmental education, CSR, or communications.
- Experience in the waste management, environmental services, or recycling industry is an advantage.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project planning and event coordination abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- UAE driving licence is preferred.
