About the Role

Responsibilities
- Act as Proxy Product Owner for Trade Finance product portfolio, supporting Head of Trade Product
- Manage and prioritize Trade Product Delivery Backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Translate high level product strategies into detailed business and functional requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria
- Provide Trade Finance subject matter expertise throughout product development lifecycle
- Collaborate with Product Management, Technology, Operations, PMO, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders
- Support preparation and validation of BRDs, User Stories, Test Cases, SOPs, and Implementation Guides
- Facilitate active participation of subject matter experts in product workshops and working groups
- Track delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and implementation readiness with Head of Trade Product
- Support product governance by ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Analyze client pain points and operational challenges to identify opportunities for process optimization
- Work with Technology and Operations teams to drive automation, digitization, and process re engineering
- Evaluate digital first approaches including buy versus build decisions and fintech partnership opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Information Technology, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Trade Finance product development, product management, or delivery within banking
- Proven experience working with Agile methodologies and cross functional technology delivery teams
- Strong knowledge of Trade Finance products, operational processes, transaction workflows, and banking controls
- Experience preparing business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
- Demonstrated experience managing product backlogs and coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Experience working in Transaction Banking or Global Transaction Banking environments is highly preferred

Job Purpose
- The Proxy Product Owner – Trade Products supports the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing development of Trade Finance systems and solutions within the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) product portfolio
- Serves as liaison between Product Management, Technology, Operations, and business stakeholders
- Translates product strategy into detailed business requirements, manages delivery backlogs, and ensures successful implementation of digital trade finance solutions

- Experience preparing business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
- Demonstrated experience managing product backlogs and coordinating multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams
- Experience working in Transaction Banking or Global Transaction Banking environments is highly preferred
