Role Overview

  • The Project Planning Digital Transformation & Scheduling Systems Leader is a critical hybrid role responsible for designing, maintaining, and continuously improving the digital scheduling ecosystem that enables integrated project planning and execution across ITO and OTR.
  • This role combines deep Primavera P6 scheduling expertise, project controls process knowledge, automation capability, enterprise systems understanding, and data driven analytics to support the One Project Schedule (OPS) operating model and wider planning transformation.
  • The role will act as a bridge between Planning & Scheduling, Engineering, Equipment Planning, Project Management, Factory teams, IT/UDC developers, PLM, PMx, Data Lake, and other enterprise tool owners.

Key Responsibilities OPS Digital Scheduling Architecture

  • Own and support the digital architecture required to enable the OPS scheduling model across projects.
  • Maintain and enhance the Primavera P6 enterprise scheduling setup required for integrated Engineering, Equipment, Factory, Logistics, PM Key Dates, and project baseline schedules.
  • Support OPS template governance, baseline schedule creation, rebaseline workflows, and schedule update/reporting processes.
  • Ensure scheduling architecture supports integrated logic, cross product dependencies, PM Key Dates, CUD/Vendoc requirements, and baseline readiness.
  • Partner with planning, engineering, equipment, and tool teams to convert field test learnings into repeatable digital scheduling solutions.

Key Responsibilities Primavera P6 Administration & Enterprise Scheduling Suppo

  • Provide advanced Primavera P6 expertise across EPS/OBS structure, project codes, activity codes, calendars, baselines, layouts, global changes, user access, and schedule configuration.
  • Support P6 project creation, template copying, baseline assignment, project coding, and integration readiness.
  • Troubleshoot P6 issues related to scheduling options, F9 simulation, constraints, loops, negative float, baseline mismatches, and integration failures.
  • Ensure P6 data structures are compatible with downstream tools such as GER, OTD Tracker, PMx, PLM, dashboards, and reporting environments.
  • Support controlled deployment of P6 configuration changes in alignment with governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities Tool Development, Automation & Integration

  • Lead or support development of automation tools that reduce manual planning effort and improve schedule quality.
  • Partner with UDC / IT / development teams to define requirements, test solutions, validate outputs, and manage deployment of planning tools.
  • Support integrations between P6 and enterprise systems such as PLM, PMx, Data Lake, UDC, OTD Tracker, LTDB, Vendoc/CDH loaders, and reporting dashboards.
  • Translate business process requirements into functional tool specifications, user stories, validation logic, and test cases.
  • Own user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and continuous improvement of planning automation tools.
  • Ensure automation solutions are scalable, auditable, and aligned with project controls governance.

Key Responsibilities ITO Proposal Planning & Analysis Support

  • Support ITO planning teams with proposal schedule analytics, standard cycle validation, lead time analysis, and bid readiness reviews.
  • Handle complex TK and EEP projects scheduling during ITO phase including coordination with Partners, support deal teams for discussions with Customer during clarification phase.
  • Help strengthen ITO to OTR handover by ensuring proposal assumptions, standard cycles, customer commitments, and OPS schedule logic are aligned.
  • ITO analysis tools and dashboards maintenance / upgrade to compare contractual commitments against OPS/LTDB standard cycles.
  • Identify disconnects between as sold dates, standard cycles, and execution templates before OTR baseline development.
  • Provide analytical support for proposal risk reviews, schedule feasibility checks, and planning assumptions.

Key Responsibilities Data Quality, Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain data quality checks for schedule readiness, baseline completeness, project codes, activity coding, MLI mapping, baseline type, and reporting eligibility.
  • Support dashboards and analytics for schedule health, readiness gates, negative float, critical path, variance, cycle compliance, and tool sync status.
  • Partner with reporting and data teams to ensure schedule data is accurately extracted, transformed, and consumed by downstream reporting tools.
  • Support root cause analysis when projects do not appear correctly in trackers, dashboards, GER, OTD, or PMx/PLM reporting.
  • Create structured diagnostics and issue resolution playbooks for recurring tool and data problems.

Key Responsibilities Governance, Process & Standardization

  • Support creation and maintenance of QMS / governance documents for OPS tools, template management, baseline creation, rebaseline, reporting, and integrations.
  • Define standard work instructions for tool users, planners, schedulers, and functional teams.
  • Support monthly working team reviews and quarterly governance reviews for OPS tools and scheduling architecture.
  • Maintain clear RACI alignment between Planning, Engineering, Equipment, Factory, PM, IT/UDC, and tool owners.
  • Ensure lessons learned from pilot projects and field tests are converted into sustainable process and tool improvements.

Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

  • Act as a key interface between business users and technical development teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, tool demos, issue resolution sessions, and schedule readiness reviews.
  • Train and coach planners, schedulers, and stakeholders on tool usage, P6 configuration, automation workflows, and data governance expectations.
  • Communicate technical issues in a clear, business oriented manner to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Promote adoption of standardized, integrated, and digitally enabled project controls practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 Years of experience in project controls, planning, scheduling, project management systems, or enterprise tool implementation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, including project structures, baselines, codes, scheduling options, logic, calendars, and reporting data.
  • Experience supporting complex projects, preferably in power generation, energy, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing, or EPC environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business process needs into tool requirements, functional specifications, test scripts, and automation logic.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams including Planning, Engineering, Equipment, Project Management, IT, and data/reporting teams.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to diagnose complex system, data, and process issues and drive them to closure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
