Lead the project lifecycle from concept through closeout, including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, project performance management, start‑up, performance testing, and handover to operations.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, health & safety obligations, and client performance expectations across all phases.
Act as the principal point of contact for the client and internal leadership, maintaining strong relationships and timely communications throughout the project.
Direct and supervise multidisciplinary project teams; set priorities, allocate resources, and provide clear guidance to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
Make timely decisions on project matters, including escalation and resolution of issues that require direct intervention.
Report to senior leadership on progress, risks, variances, and mitigation plans; prepare and present status reports and performance dashboards.
Manage EPC execution plans, commissioning readiness, and turnover documentation to operations.
Oversee contractor performance and manage change orders, claims, and commercial terms in alignment with the contract.
Demonstrated ability to deliver major capital projects in accordance with contractual obligations, quality standards, cost targets, and safety requirements, consistently meeting client expectations.
Strong analytical and decision‑making skills, with a history of resolving complex technical, commercial, and schedule‑related issues under tight time and budget constraints.
Proven leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary project teams and providing structured reporting to senior leadership in EPC/EPCM environments.
Exceptional stakeholder‑management and communication skills, with experience serving as the primary client interface and representing the project with partners, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Collaborative working style, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with engineering, construction, project controls, commercial teams, and external vendors.
10-15 years of progressive project management experience in heavy industrial, energy, infrastructure, or major capital project environments.
Post‑secondary engineering or technical education (engineering degree or engineering technology diploma preferred); PMP or equivalent considered an asset.
