About the role
The Project Manager leads rack-level system deployment projects for data center, cloud, enterprise IT, HPC, and related technology environments.
The position combines project leadership, customer communication, field engineering, hardware troubleshooting, and service desk ticket handling.
When active deployment work is unavailable, the role performs on-site maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Essential duties
- Lead the full lifecycle of rack-level system deployment projects.
- Define project scopes, draft Statements of Work, and calculate resources and timelines.
- Serve as the primary customer contact and manage deployment expectations.
- Independently manage service workflows and respond to technical challenges.
- Perform on-site hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, and service desk ticket handling.
- Manage rack movement, hardware remediation, unpacking, rack stacking, and server integration.
- Manage high-density power connections and validate pre-deployment configurations.
Professional experience
- At least five years of experience in data center operations, IT service delivery, or technical project management.
