About the Role
GHD is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Lead for its UAE team in Abu Dhabi. You will monitor and audit construction contractors from a health and safety aspect, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct inspections and audits to assess site compliance
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and compile reports
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills
- Monitor construction activities to minimize environmental impact
- Maintain accurate HSE records and prepare reports
- Lead and manage the HSE team, providing guidance and feedback
- Audit construction contractors
- Set up HSE processes and procedures for safe running of a construction site
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years’ relevant construction HSE experience
- ISO45001:2018 Lead Auditor Certificate
- OSHAD Registration
- NEBOSH Dip Level 6 or equivalent such as OTHM Dip Level 6
- NEBOSH qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety)
- Capable Auditor with sound knowledge of ISO 18001, 9001 and ISO 14001
- Experience working in the Middle East region is essential

About The Role
- Our Middle East operations have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Engineer to join our UAE team.
- The role will entail site work to monitor and audit construction contractors from a Health and Safety aspect.

Experience & Qualifications

- Experience working in the Middle East region is essential.
