Project Engineer
Barminco is seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join our team at the Great Fingall Operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the safe, productive and profitable delivery of underground mining operations. Working closely with site leadership, technical services teams and the client, you will provide technical expertise, monitor operational performance, support cost management initiatives, and ensure mining activities are delivered in accordance with contract requirements and project objectives.
Position Responsibilities include
- Monitor and report on production and development performance to ensure contractual and client targets are achieved.
- Develop a thorough understanding of site contracts, management plans and operational requirements to ensure compliance.
- Maintain strong working relationships with client representatives and technical services personnel.
- Identify, analyse and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver monthly operational, KPI and performance reports.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting and monitoring site expenditure.
- Support the preparation and submission of monthly client claims and revenue forecasts.
- Manage and maintain Quality Assurance programmes and associated documentation.
- Monitor mining conditions and provide technical recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in daily, weekly and monthly planning meetings to coordinate mining and maintenance activities.
- Assist with forward planning for mining equipment utilisation and operational requirements.
- Review excavation and stope performance, ensuring compliance with design and contract specifications.
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions to eliminate risk and improve safety performance.
