We are currently seeking experienced Underground Raise Bore Operators to join our high-performing underground operations across Western Australia.
Working a family-friendly 14:14 FIFO roster, you will play a vital role in delivering safe and efficient raise boring activities that support mine development, ventilation infrastructure, ore pass construction and production objectives. Operate raise bore drilling equipment to safely and efficiently complete planned raises
Set up, align and commission raise bore rigs and associated equipment
Install drill strings, cutters and reaming assemblies
Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on raise bore equipment
Monitor drilling performance and ground conditions, adjusting drilling parameters as required
Safely complete rod handling, breakout and reaming activities
Identify and report hazards, equipment defects and changing ground conditions
Work closely with supervisors, engineers and underground crews to achieve production targets
Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and operational standards
Previous experience as a Raise Bore Operator in underground mining

Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards
Demonstrated experience operating raise bore rigs and associated underground drilling equipment
Strong knowledge of raise boring techniques, ground control practices and drilling operations
Ability to identify and resolve operational and equipment-related issues in a timely manner
Relevant operating tickets and licences highly regarded
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow detailed mine plans
Ability to meet all site access requirements, including a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, National Police Clearance and valid Manual Driver's Licence
