You will be mainly accountable for

As a Project Engineer – Automation, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end engineering and execution of automation projects in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, and emerging process industries.

You will independently execute projects from FEED stage through commissioning and handover, acting as a technical interface to end customers, while ensuring compliance with ABB quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards.

Execute automation projects from FEED / Concept Engineering through Detailed Engineering, FAT, SAT, Commissioning, and Project Closure

Deliver engineering scope in line with contract requirements, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and cybersecurity policies

Act as technical focal point for customers, EPCs, and internal stakeholders and identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies

Automation System Design & Engineering and Industrial Networking & Cybersecurity and Design and implement solutions using industrial communication protocols:

Qualifications for the role

  • Proven Project Engineer experience in automation projects and DCS, PLC.
  • Looking for 5–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated execution of end‑to‑end projects (FEED → Commissioning)
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals
  • Willing to travel to abroad as per project requirements
  • BE / BTech in Control Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent.
