- Lead the overall delivery of major stadium and sports venue developments from initiation through handover
- Provide executive leadership across all technical, commercial, contractual, operational, and project control functions
- Act as the primary point of contact with the Client, stakeholders, operators, authorities, and project partners
- Direct multidisciplinary design management activities covering architecture, structure, MEP, ICT, security, venue technology, landscape, and supporting infrastructure
- Oversee procurement strategies, contractor engagement, and package delivery to achieve project milestones
- Lead project planning, scheduling, cost management, risk management, and change control processes
- Manage testing, commissioning, operational readiness, venue activation, and handover activities
- Ensure integration of spectator facilities, hospitality areas, F&B facilities, back of house operations, VIP areas, media facilities, and venue support infrastructure
- Direct stakeholder coordination to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and approval requirements
- Establish and maintain project governance, reporting, quality assurance, and HSE processes
- Mobilize and lead project teams to deliver high quality services and project outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 20 years' experience in planning, design, management, and delivery of major capital projects
- Minimum 10 years in a Project Director or equivalent leadership role
- Demonstrated experience delivering major sports venues, stadiums, arenas, entertainment facilities, airports, convention centres, or similarly complex public use developments
- Strong commercial, contractual, procurement, and claims management expertise
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented, experienced and accomplished Project Director to lead the delivery of large scale sports and entertainment venue developments.
- The Project Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and successful delivery of complex stadium projects from project initiation through planning, design management, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning, operational readiness, and handover.
- The role requires extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams, specialist venue consultants, contractors, operators, and key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of world class sporting and entertainment facilities.
- The Project Director will serve as the primary interface with the Client and senior stakeholders while ensuring project objectives are achieved in accordance with schedule, budget, quality, safety, sustainability, and operational requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing

What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or related discipline.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- PMP, RICS, CEng, PE, or equivalent professional accreditation preferred.
- Minimum 20 years' experience in the planning, design, management, and delivery of major capital projects.
- Minimum 10 years in a Project Director or equivalent leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience delivering major sports venues, stadiums, arenas, entertainment facilities, airports, convention centres, or similarly complex public use developments.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and specialist venue operators.
- Strong understanding of stadium design and operational requirements, including spectator experience, crowd management, hospitality, broadcast/media facilities, venue technology, and operational readiness.
- Strong commercial, contractual, procurement, and claims management expertise.
- Extensive experience in project controls, including schedule, cost, risk, quality, and reporting.
