- Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems
- Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides strategy type recommendations on critical matters to support decision making
- Guides the development and implementation of project controls procedures to support best practices for schedule, cost, earned value, risk and change management processes
- Manages a team of Project Control staff who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs and performance against schedule
- Recommends and oversees the implementation and customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements
- Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel
- Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or other related technical field
- 15+ years of experience preferably on airport projects
- Experience with managing a team of project controls staff
- Experience with various delivery methods, including Design Bid Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build
- Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Must have a self starter attitude with proactive, results oriented focus
- Must be detail oriented and highly organized

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Manager to join our Aviation team!
- In this role you will develop, manage, and execute all phases of the project controls effort and provide leadership for every phase of significant aviation and transportation infrastructure projects or programs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
- Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides strategy type recommendations on critical matters to support decision making.
- Guides the development and implementation of project controls procedures to support the implementation of best practices for schedule, cost, earned value, risk and change management processes.
- Manages a team of Project Control staff who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs, as well as performance against an established schedule with critical milestones.
- Recommends and oversees the implementation and customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
- Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.
- Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or other related technical field required.
- 15+ years of experience preferably on airport projects.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

- Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc.
- Familiarity with Project Management Information Systems.
- Ability to work in CAD or REVIT a plus.
