Role Overview
The Project Controls Engineer implements project controls systems and methods for estimating, cost control, planning, reporting, progress measurement, scheduling, and management of change.
The role combines technical project controls execution with contractor leadership, communication, facilitation, and interpersonal responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project cost, schedule, estimating, progress measurement, forecasting, budgeting, and change management activities.
- Manage project cost and schedule across the project life cycle and support gate reviews and project funding decisions.
- Mentor junior project controls engineers and maintain project controls plans, procedures, and stewardship processes.
- Coordinate project controls information and status reporting with engineering, procurement, construction, and contractor teams.
- Review contractor cost and schedule baselines, forecasts, reports, trends, change proposals, and corrective action plans.
