Job Description
Vayu Agritech is launching its flagship division, Vayu Vertical Farming, focused on building next-generation, technology-driven farming infrastructure in the UAE.
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead this division as Head of Vertical Farming
This is a founding leadership role responsible for funding, execution, and scaling of large-scale vertical farming operations aligned with UAE food security initiatives.
Government Relations & Subsidy Acquisition
- Liaise with UAE authorities including:
- Ministry of Climate Change and Environment
- Abu Dhabi & Dubai Agriculture and Food Safety Authority
- Secure agriculture subsidies, grants, and food security incentives
Project Financing & Banking
- Structure and secure up to 100% project financing
- Prepare bankable DPR, feasibility reports, and financial models
- Manage relationships with UAE banks and financial institutions
Vertical Farming Project Leadership
- Lead end-to-end execution of Hydroponic / aeroponic farming systems
- Oversee design, development, and operations
Technology & Optimization
- Implement
• Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA)
- Smart farming systems (IoT, automation)
- Optimize yield, energy usage, and water efficiency
Strategic Growth & Partnerships
- Lead investor discussions and joint ventures
- Develop partnerships with retail chains, distributors, and export markets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Engineering, or related field (Mandatory)
- Master’s Degree (Agri / MBA / CEA) (Preferred)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
- GlobalG.A.P.
Experience Requirements (Mandatory)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in UAE
- Proven experience in:
- Vertical farming / hydroponics
- Commercial-scale agricultural projects
- Strong track record in:
- Securing UAE government subsidies
- Structuring high-value bank financing for just
- Successfully delivered at least 2 vertical farming projects in UAE
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Knowledge of Arabic, Hindi, and Urdu (strong advantage)
