Background

  • UNDP partnership with Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to strengthen strategic planning, governance, and operational efficiency.
  • Project Assistant will support programme activities, liaise with government partners, and support monitoring and evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the Head of the Partnership Office.
  • Follow up on projects implemented under the signed Project Document.
  • Manage official correspondence and coordinate with relevant departments.
  • Support coordination with government counterparts, UNDP, and other stakeholders.
  • Support and follow up on matters related to the Steering Committee.
  • Assist in preparation of governance framework and Steering Committee Rules of Procedure.
  • Maintain, organize, and update project files and documents.
  • Support preparation of periodic project reports (RDPs, APRs, CDRs).
  • Support review of project related documents for compliance.
  • Assist in contracting and procurement procedures through UNDP.
  • Contribute to knowledge building and knowledge sharing.
  • Perform other duties within functional profile.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Secondary education required; University Degree in Social Sciences, Law, Project Management considered.
  • Minimum 4 years (secondary) or 1 year (bachelor's) of experience in project support.
  • Experience and knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
  • Experience in IT and office software packages and web based management systems.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English required.
