About the Role

Responsibilities
- Conduct technical analyses and studies ensuring safe integration of AAM technologies into the aviation ecosystem
- Build technical capabilities in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) within GACA
- Update existing regulations to incorporate AAM relevant systems and technologies
- Develop regulations and procedures, prepare technical recommendations, and obtain required approvals
- Develop new regulations to enable airworthiness certification issuance
- Define processes to conduct surveillance/oversight of testing and compliance
- Conduct technical studies related to issuing and accepting airworthiness certificates for AAM aircraft and systems
- Review and analyze engineering designs, safety data, and manufacturers’ risk management solutions
- Coordinate with OEM and fleet operators to verify compliance with certification standards
- Support and enable tests and flight trials for AAM systems
- Prepare reports on time and with required quality
- Commit to cybersecurity related tasks and responsibilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the field
- Proficiency in English
- Experience with ICAO standards and recommended practices related to AAM or emerging aviation technologies

Organizational Setting
- Conduct technical studies and analyses related to granting and approving airworthiness certificates for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft and systems, ensuring safety of design, structure, and maintenance.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct technical analyses and studies ensuring safe integration of AAM technologies into the aviation ecosystem.
- Build technical capabilities in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) within GACA.
- Update existing regulations to incorporate AAM relevant systems and technologies.
- Develop regulations and procedures, prepare technical recommendations, and obtain required approvals.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the field.
- Experience with ICAO standards and recommended practices related to AAM or emerging aviation technologies (desirable).
- Proficiency in English (essential).
- Knowledge of Arabic (desirable).
