About the Role
The United Nations Development Programme seeks an AAM Air Navigation Services Expert to conduct studies and analyses for integrating AAM systems into air-traffic management networks.

Responsibilities
- Conduct technical analyses and studies for safe integration of AAM technologies into the aviation system
- Build technical capabilities in Advanced Air Mobility within GACA
- Develop regulations and procedures, prepare technical recommendations, and obtain approvals
- Assess Air Traffic Management needs and procedures for AAM
- Develop air route models for VTOL aircraft within urban and suburban airspace
- Analyze CNS system requirements for future AAM operations
- Participate in development of Low Level Airspace Concept and initial air traffic framework
- Evaluate air traffic congestion and propose solutions to integrate AAM flights
- Participate in preparing operational regulations for AAM aircraft
- Support testing related to AAM air corridors and traffic management solutions
- Support and enable tests and flight trials for AAM systems
- Prepare reports on time and with required quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the field
- Proficiency in English
- Experience with ICAO standards related to AAM or emerging aviation technologies
- Knowledge of Arabic is desirable

Organizational Setting
- Conduct studies and analyses related to integrating AAM systems into air traffic management networks, including evaluating air routes, separation levels, CNS systems, and traffic management procedures for AAM aircraft.
- Develop technical frameworks for AAM corridors and routes and define system requirements to ensure safe and coordinated operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct technical analyses and studies ensuring the safe integration of AAM technologies into the aviation system.
- Build technical capabilities in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) within GACA.
- Develop regulations and procedures, prepare technical recommendations, and obtain the required approvals.
- Assess Air Traffic Management (ATM) needs and procedures for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
- Develop air route models for VTOL aircraft within urban and suburban airspace.
- Analyze CNS system requirements for future AAM operations.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the field.
- Experience with ICAO standards and recommended practices related to AAM or emerging aviation technologies (desirable).
- Proficiency in English (essential).
- Knowledge of Arabic (desirable).
