Role Overview
The Progressive Operator role supports automotive manufacturing by operating presses and progressive die equipment.
The position is part of Cosma International, which provides body, chassis, tooling, and engineering solutions for global automotive customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up equipment and machinery as required.
- Operate presses and assigned progressive die equipment.
- Perform and document first-off, hourly, and last-off inspections according to the Control Plan.
- Report non-conforming conditions to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Document inspection results and corrective actions.
- Complete production traceability reports according to station controls.
- Produce quality parts in compliance with standard rates and customer requirements.
- Follow occupational health and safety requirements and company safety policies.
- Maintain equipment and work-area safety, use required protective equipment, and report unsafe conditions.
- Maintain housekeeping and address hazards or defective equipment.
- Follow company policies, procedures, employee handbook requirements, and applicable legislation.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 education or GED.
