The role will primarily focus on coordinating and delivering the our small grants programme and will provide additional support in the delivery of the Foundation's internal funding initiatives and other activity related to our skills and education portfolio. From time to time, the postholder may also contribute to other activities across the Foundation, as appropriate to the role and organisational priorities.
Small grants programme delivery:
Support the planning and coordination of all small grants funding rounds, ensuring activities, deadlines and key milestones are effectively managed.
Act as a consistent point of contact for applicant, reviewer and grant holder enquiries, providing clear and timely responses and escalating issues where appropriate.
Support the application and assessment process, including reviewer set-up, reviewer guidance, scoring processes, moderation preparation and decision-making support.
Work closely with the Grants Team to ensure application records, approvals, grant set-up, contracting information and Salesforce records are accurate and up to date.
Support the production and maintenance of guidance notes, FAQs, application materials and web content, working closely with the Communications Team so the scheme remains accessible and easy to navigate.
Coordinate internal meetings, decisions and follow-up actions relating to the small grant s programme, ensuring responsibilities and deadlines are clearly recorded.
Support practical improvements to the programme’s processes, guidance and delivery based on operational learning and stakeholder feedback.
Maintain programme documentation, records and handover materials to support continuity and knowledge management during the maternity cover period.
Partner for Purpose:
Support the continued development, promotion and delivery of Partner for Purpose, a recently reintroduced employee engagement and internal funding initiative that enables employees to support non-profit organisations aligned with the Foundation’s mission and priorities. This will include coordinating funding rounds and employee engagement activities, while building awareness, participation and impact across the organisation.
Coordinate enquiries, applications and applicant guidance, liaising with employees, applicants and grant holders to provide clear and consistent support.
Support grant assessment, communications, reporting and record keeping, working closely with the Senior Programme Manager, Engagement Manager and Grants Team.
NEST - Network to Engineer a Safer Tomorrow:
Support the Senior Programme Manager in maintaining the Foundation’s relationship with the NEST community of students, graduates and early-career professionals.
Identify and coordinate opportunities for future engagement, including links with the Ambassadors Programme where relevant.
Maintain relevant records, contacts and follow-up actions to support continuity and effective internal coordination.
Programme and portfolio support:
Support the Senior Programme Manager with portfolio reporting, briefing notes, presentation materials and programme updates across the relevant areas of work, working with the Communications Team where needed.
Support the capture of learning, outcomes, impact examples and case studies from funded projects, working with the Communications Team to inform reporting, communications and future programme development.
Support information requests, briefing materials, knowledge management and cross-programme learning across the Foundation’s small grants programme and wider skills and education portfolio.
Undertake any other responsibilities commensurate with the grade and nature of the role.
