Overview

  • Wärtsilä is a world leader in marine technology.
  • This role focuses on Port Systems and Maritime Traffic Control products.
  • Position is in Middle East, Dubai.

Job Must Requirements

  • BSC in Telecommunication (preferrable) and/or Electronics Engineering from well reputed university. (5 years engineering study)
  • Presales and engineering experience minimum 5 years in Telecommunication and Electronics systems preferably Maritime.
  • Proven exposure experience to cross organizational functions: project management, logistics, procurement, engineering … etc.
  • Engineering Skills: SLD DWGs production, Wiring DWGs production, Block Diagrams production and/or Master Plans; Technical Writing, Power consumption calculations, NWs capacity calculations ..etc.
  • Professional in Microsoft Office Package including Visio (as professional), CRM systems and other SAP systems (as user).
  • Travelling for meetings whenever needed.
  • Delivery of all work outputs to strict deadlines.
  • Fluent in English.

Job Plus Requirements

  • MSc/Master in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent experience of 8 years in product in maritime ports systems or coast guards.
  • Courses in Pre Sales and/or Engineering.
  • Other languages: Russian, Turkish or French will be plus.

Your main responsibilities will be

  • Preparation of systems designs up to cost calculations.
  • Maintaining and developing system’s material BoM and BoD.
  • Obtaining/collection of technical information in cooperation with Technical Support (Engineering or R&D).
  • Negotiation of orders and clarification of deadlines with the customer whenever needed.
  • Processing of orders including material planning, preparation for shipment and complete technical documentation.
  • Offers timely follow up with clients.
  • Submit check reports to customers timely after job completion and after sales follow up to track customer satisfaction.
  • Support Bid Process, responsible for bid technical requirements (Compliance matrix as example).
  • Provide Technical Descriptions document and relative drawings.
  • Accurate and timely production of bid documents.
  • Managing Customers/Clients registered portal and new registry.
  • Close cooperation with Sales Manager and cooperation with delivery, product R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Purchasing and advisory services.
