Role overview
Lead daily millwork manufacturing processes to maximize production and support timely customer fill rates.
Achieve productivity KPIs while coordinating departmental employees and maintaining quality and material-efficiency standards.
The work environment is a production floor in a manufacturing setting.
Production responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations, workflow, production schedules, inspections, quality control, and corrective actions.
- Maintain records for inventory, quality metrics, team performance, and production progress.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, oversee maintenance, requisition materials, and coordinate material receiving.
- Communicate with other departments to coordinate production needs and resolve issues.
- Perform ad-hoc projects as directed by the Millwork Manager.
Supervision and leadership
- Lead, mentor, train, coach, and develop workers and departmental staff.
- Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, participate in performance reviews, and support performance management.
- Recommend personnel for promotions and participate in hiring as necessary.
- Chair and participate in department meetings, including one-to-one meetings.
