About the Opportunity

Responsibilities

• Provides direction, supervision and coordination, of personnel (including subcontractors as necessary) and is responsible for delivery of Quality, PQC and NDT services to submarine maintenance projects.
• Manages all work coming into the department to ensure project commitments are met including managing permanent staff plus contractors/sub-contractors as required. It is expected that the position incumbent will drive the team to maintain a high standard of work ensure efficient use of resources to meet schedule commitments.
• Responsible for building and maintaining relationships across numerous stakeholders both within ASC and externally with our customers. The role will also be responsible for our interaction with contractors/sub-contractors to ensure relationships are mutually beneficial and assist in building defence industry.
• Accountable for organising shift and weekend work (additional to weekday standard hours) for PQC/NDT personnel as required by operational and project demands. The position incumbent will be required to be on call and make themselves contactable outside of normal working hours to problem solve issues minimising potential risks to project schedule commitments.
• Maintain the PQC and NDT environment such that it and all personnel working within the area of operation meet a high standard for safe work in accordance with company WH&S policy.
