Production Assistant

• Handle purchase requests for shop consumables and work with the Purchasing team to place orders.
• Follow up on outstanding orders and investigate missing items.
• Coordinate the outsourcing of items as requested by supervisors.
• Create work order requests on behalf of the shop for submission to Administration.
• Compile and scan timecards for processing by the Timecard Entry team.
• Create parts return documentation and enter non-conformance reports as required.
• Support folder management between the shop, Reliability, and Administration teams.
• Update and maintain work order travellers.
• Maintain accurate and organized production documentation and filing systems.
• Assist with the onboarding requirements of new employees.
• Monitor and schedule required shop training.
• Maintain shop employee competency records.
• Provide additional administrative support as required.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and electronic record systems.
• Knowledge of the eXtend ERP system and WIP Tracker is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems is considered an asset.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to verify and exchange information with internal stakeholders.
• Excellent time management, work prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Sound judgment and the ability to manage daily priorities in a busy office and industrial shop environment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
